Have been hiking here since 1998. Excellent trails. Have both hiked and driven to the top of Pack Monadnock. Park staff very friendly and helpful. Nice clean trails that I would recommend anyone to hike on in nice weather. And pets on leashes are welcome!

This is a great spot for walking and other outdoor activities, year round. There are several trails up Pack Monadnock, easily accessible from the sizable parking lot, with several loop hikes possible by combining them. The road to the summit is open, with a toll fee, during the warm seasons and the autumn, and can also be used for a strenuous uphill bicycle ride (very steep in spots). From the summit, there are great views west to Mt Monadnock, and southeast to Boston (on a clear day). The summit is used for communications towers and a weather/air-quality monitoring station, as well as by conservancy groups monitoring bird migrations. The park is easy to find, at an obvious height of land along Rt 101 west from Milford and east from Peterborough, on the north side of the road and has reasonable signage.

Miller State Park is a hiking destination for many locals and visitors alike. There are a number of trails that lead to the top of Pack Monadnock, including a paved road where many take their daily exercise. There is a wonderful view from the top of Pack. On a clear day, you can see Boston. Seasonally, folks watch from the summit to tally raptor migration, seeing swarms of hawks and other raptors.

Visited during the off season for a hike in February. Park was busy and there were lots of hikers. The Wapack trail is steeper and a bit more of a scramble up compared to the Marion Davis trail. The Wapack trail was very icy near the peak because it is shaded in ever greens and stays cold. The MD trail a little muddy, but no ice or snow since it is exposed to the sun and there's no leaves now. I'm not an expert and was able to complete this hike in about 2 hours. If anyone in your group has bad needs or fears the steep trails, just have them go up and down the MD trail, it's easy.

Hikers, bird watchers, nature conservationists and outdoor enthusiasts will greatly appreciate this opportunity for exploring exciting and new trails. The auto road is seasonal and has a nominal State Park fee. For the hiker, several free parking spots is located across the street. For the bird watchers, the annual raptor watch is a must see! Come once or often the views are spectacular!
