We went there after watching the baseball game, we had snacks in the park but we were looking forward to a great meal. We have been there several times and never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and very tasty good size portions, our server was friendly but the food was slow coming from the kitchen. No other issues to mention. We plan on going back soon
I’ve been going there from a long time and this place rocks on the food!!!!!! Very nice attention, well decorated, the ambience is very familiar……..ask for the specials they have as it changes daily. Will never get tired of eating here! There is real Dominican seasoning happening in that kitchen. Prices are very affordable.
The place looked inviting although some of the staff and customers looked at us as if we were not supposed to be there go figure. Beyond that....we were looking to eat traditional Dominican food and the menu disappointed us for sure. We saw the signs and left before we could further the already going downhill fast experience. The limonada was great though!
Again, we tried this restaurant at the recommendation of a Friend. We should have turned around and headed back out the minute we saw the place Inside. First, the place is extremely dark and dirty. This place hasn’t been cleaned in years. I ordered the Red Snapper Filet, according to the menu. What I received was a WHOLE fish in some funky tasting supposedly coconut sauce. Definitely, not like I’ve had while visiting the Dominican Republic. I didn’t mind the whole fish at all. It was the taste that got me. My friends ordered the Mofongo with Churrasco. They both said it was good. I tried their Mofongo, and I have to admit, it was good. With that said, all three of us agreed we will not be back.
Updating my review from 5 months ago. I had stopped coming because the quality and taste of food had changed. I’m convinced the cook was different for a period of time because there was a notable difference. I decided to come back today and give it another try and I am extremely satisfied! My regular order was delicious and so was my husband’s… cooked to perfection. Hands down the best Dominican food I’ve ever had. Our waiters are always quick and friendly as well. :
This place is as Dominican as it gets. Cold beer. Amazing food. Good service. I felt like I was back in Santo Domingo and I loved every minute about it. I have been to DR multiple times and this goes toe to toe with any restaurant in DR.
I dont know about everyone else's reviews but I have been going there for years and never had an issue. Let's talk truth. It's a quaint little spot with fantastic food. Their sanchocho is to die for their mango con los tres golpes is fantastic closest I have had to Dominican style. Staff has always been nice to me and others from what i see. Only thing I wish is they would open there doors earlier so I can get some breakfast. Again never had a complaint.
Came in for breakfast on a recommendation of a friend. Upon walking in, one of the waitress gave us a weird look like we were out of place. We had the mangu with los 4 golpes, coffee and a morir soñando. Overall our meal was good. On the downside, My coffee had to be returned because it was cold. Instead of Waitress brewing me a fresh cup, she gave me an ignorant response. Place looks like it was decorated in the 1800's. Dark and dreary plus Dust on curtains. Place needs to be updated to feel more welcoming and inviting. And your waitresses need a class in etiquette to make the customers feel welcomed.
Can't say enough about this place, it's not just about the food and service which was incredible, it was how this place made me feel at home. Took me back in time when my mom took me out to local spots around town when bands played and people dance while you enjoyed a great meal. Owners looked very proud of what they've established here and I got to tell you that's rare to find. Milly's makes you Thank God when you find such a place. Will be returning and highly recommended.
This restaurant is across the street from safelite. While waiting for vandalized window to be repaired, I had a shrimp cocktail and some shrimp soup that was very good. I will have to order the full seafood dishes to try out. This one was very good. The food was home cooked which I'd expect from Miami area local restaurants. I will have to stop by again
