Our Mission: to provide the highest quality public service to Milton and its neighboring communities in the fields of, & related to, fire protection & EMS.
The Milton Fire Department's service territory covers approximately 90 square miles, and includes the City of Milton, and the Townships of Milton, Harmony, Johnstown, Lima, and Koshkonong. Our area is primarily in the north-eastern portion of Rock County, with a little bit extending into Jefferson County. Our service territory includes about a 7 mile stretch of Interstate 90, and portions of state highways 26 and 59. In addition to fire protection, Milton Fire Department provides its community and surrounding area with EMS at an IV Tech Level, Extrication Rescue, HazMat Response, and Water/Ice Rescue.
These services are handled by paid-on-premise employees during the day, and paid-on-call volunteers during the evenings and weekends. All members of the Milton Fire Department maintain their skills with trainings on a weekly basis with varied focuses.
