Children’s Hospital has merged with the adoption agency Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin (CSSW) and is the largest agency that subcontracts with the Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services. We have seen them bring in a tremendous amounts of money on every level of the child welfare industry and make more when children are taken from their homes. This is a huge conflict of interest and we see it harming the poor who stay with us! We take in homeless women and families and see them consistently targeted by Children's Hospital Community Services for child removal without proof of abuse or neglect. Many Children's Hospital caseworkers have told us that poor people are not able to properly care for their children. 

Children’s Hospital Community Services child welfare workers recently snatched an 8-hour-old baby from his grieving mother. They called in two security guards and three city police officers to snatch the baby boy, then told the mother and four advocates present, that the baby was being taken because the mom had not notified Children' Hospital staff that she was pregnant! This is clearly illegal and immoral!
