Very small menu but the food was quite delicious. The menu you see in the restaurant is based off the one on their actual website and not the menu linked through google singleplatform.com I recommend the Berkshire pork rib and chocolate fondant. The chocolate fondant is amazing! Also ordered the Vermont quail which had a piece of seared foie gras. The foie gras was absolutely amazing but I didn’t feel the same about the quail. The cocktails though were also really good. The restaurant is a bit pricey in my opinion but the portions are pretty big especially the pork ribs.
This is a new favorite. Stumbled across Mimi a couple of weeks ago and had to come back. Love the atmosphere. Food is excellent. Service is outstanding. Join Troy at the bar and you'll really enjoy your visit. Dietary restrictions: Accommodate Gluten Free
Absolutely delicious French food in a European atmosphere. The menu changes everyday based which add a unique sophistication. The bread and butter was so fresh and reminded me of Le Chateaubriand in Paris. Enjoyed every bite of the asparagus and crudo and the steak and fish were cooked to perfection. The only knock is the portions are so small and we ended up getting a slice at Bleeker Street Pizza.
Beautiful spot in NYC with good service. The food was good, I tried 6 different dishes including dessert, food was cooked properly, a sign of a skilled chef, I enjoyed all of the dishes but in terms of how good the dishes were, they were good but not good enough or creative enough to be memorable or to make me come back again, French cuisine is complex and I'm judging this restaurant by those standards. Dessert wasn't bad but also wasn't satisfying. I tried two dishes from the menu and non of them made me go for a second or third spoon. The most disappointing part is the wine menu, I tried all the whites and all the reds by the glass, and non of the listed wines do justice to Burgundy or Bordeaux or French wine in general, and also they do not pair well with the food served, yes they mentioned that they are working on their wine menu but for a French cuisine they can do much better than this, I also tried one of their cocktails and mentioned that I don't want it to be overly sweet, they adjusted the ingredients and added so much ginger that I only tasted ginger in the drink. Friendly staff and I hope that they look into these minor details, such a beautiful spot needs more attention and creativity I don't know how this restaurant was before the pandemic, I'm only reviewing it by my recent experience.
Visited Mimi back in December 2021, back during the Omicron wave. We opted for outdoors heated seating. The food was truly delicious, outstanding. The service, however, was not great. We had a child at our table, and after 35 minutes of pleading with them to turn the heaters on, they finally did. It took over 45 minutes to get our orders in, much longer for food to actually reach us. But again, service aside, wow.
I had such a good experience at MIMI! The food was stellar, the service was excellent, and I loved how cozy and intimate it felt in there. We had the clams in lobster broth, the skate wing with pumpkin and olive tapenade, the steak tartare and the squid with butter beans. And a crème brûlée for dessert, very honestly everything was beyond incredible. I'd say the skate wing was particularly special, had never had it before and the combination of the pumpkin and olive with it was so so delicious! Highly recommend
Food is good but I really wish the portion is large. Or maybe the waitress doesn’t know I eat more than just these......
Quality french food served in an intimate space.
Four people over $200 bill and we left hungry and disappointed. The dishes are tiny and mediocre, except for the radicchio salad that was great. Stay away!
What a wonderful meal! The flavor of everything we tried was truly memorable and we left feeling like we had a really delicious meal that we would easily go back for again and again. Try the lamb tartare, truffle chicken liver mousse, spaghetti squash cacio e pepe, and Cote du Porc. You will be very happy. The Mimi cocktail has an excellent spicy kick!
