My second visit to the Biloxi (Hwy 67) Mississippi Department of Public Safety - Driver’s License Station and both times have been the same, as good as it good as it possibly can be. Clean. Organized. Appropriate temperature in the waiting area. More than enough seating to accommodate the mass of people waiting for renewals, testing and the such. Up to 6 stations providing assistance to the public. Bring a book, there will be a wait for the simple reason there are no appointments and nobody knows how many people are going to show up on a given day. Both visits I was in and out in under 90 minutes, with all but 4-5 minutes of that time spent waiting my turn.

These people need to learn how to read driver records. My record clearly states my license are invalid because they are expired but these people can't comprehend that. They actually asked me how would they know that they're not actually suspended while holding my record in their hand. This is just because of the word "invalid" being on the record. Then the supervisor laughs at me while saying good luck. It's not rocket science. It's a report. Learn to read driver reports from other states! It's your JOB!!!

Been here twice now both with terrible experiences. Trying to change my name after getting married and my residency due to moving. Not only did they not tell me I needed my original state issued birth certificate when I called to ask so i didn’t have everything the first time. The second time they tell me I need an eye test and I go to the machine and try to explain to the women that something is wrong with it. She tells me there are three rows of letters and j keep trying to explain that there are only 2 on the screen. I have 20/20 vision. But instead of getting off her fat lazy butt, she just tells me I need an eye test from a doctor and sends me on my way. Will never go back.

I wish I could give negative stars. Tried to get my license changed over and the staff was absolutely horrid, demeaning, belittled people, and even threatened to have me arrested for being disorderly while questioning some of their answers. You need a Mississippi utility bill, not just a utility bill like their own website states (because their website can only contain so much information and small print, actual answer I received) you can use your car tag information (which you can’t get until you have a valid Mississippi drivers license) you can also use your voters registration card, if you have Mississippi residency already established. For the rest of us we are SOL until we have those particular items, don’t question them because they will just belittle you. I will never willingly return to this facility again, they do not care about the citizens whose taxes pay their paychecks in the least
