Very clean, quiet, campground.I Ioved the large peninsula that gives almost everyone an excellent water view.I carried my small dog, and 2 or 3 staff asked about if he barks. I heard only one barking barking that was on a boat. For disabled campers, there are two drive through sites next to the 4 male/female shower/bathrooms that are wheelchair and van accessible. These 4 in one building. There may be another bathhouse, but I am not sure. I walked 2 trails, one at the VERY nice visitors center and Bear Creek trail. The one at the visitors center was mostly flat (rated easy). Bear Creek Trail had some hills, and I'd rate it moderate.Arkansas River Road is very overrated in this location. If you decide to explore this farmland road, I'd recommend a motorcycle, mule, or 4 wheeler, not a car or pick-up.

Beautiful place. Camping here is wonderful. Only $11 a night in the far camping lot. But, you can still use the showers in the main camping area!! The showers were lovely and you can camp right on the water (not the Mississippi River though).
