Excellent Capitol. They offer free tours and we even met a representative while we took our tour. The people make an experience good or bad, and the staff here made our experience amazing! The kids got pins, activity books, bookmarks and a sticker for free! Plus there is ample free parking right near the capitol building, which is rare for a state capitol.

A beautiful building that has suffered from slight, interior disrepair. Self-guided tours much enjoyed!

Nice state capitol with interesting architecture and  nice grounds surrounding the building. Lots of History.

This is a great place to visit. The staff are the best and were very helpful and welcoming.

I was in the neighborhood, for lunch at the "Two Sister's Kitchen" (recommended) when I stopped to see the capital grounds. It's very impressive from what I could see from the outside. They were having a GMO protest on the steps on the capital, which was entertaining on its own. The entire grounds and the area around it is beautiful with rich history. I would recommend anyone who does visit to get the guided tour though.Your review helps others learn about great local businesses.
