My wife worked here when she was sixteen years old. Now fifty-two. She used to talk about how clean they made the employees keep the place and how there couldn't be even a dried water spot on the stainless steel in the back. I reallly like the onion rings here. They are like none other! Good place to eat. Been about ten to fifteen years since I've been there but the food was VERY good!
Went through the Dive thru was the only car in line ordered a box for two, baked fish and two coleslaw. Food took a while which it normally does and is fine but I got all the way home and didn't have the baked fish. Tried calling 3 times and got no answer and a message saying vm is full. Drove all the way up there went inside told the girl at the counter what happened she yelled at someone in the back that I didn't get my baked fish. Then nothing else was said, so I stood there for 5 mins and finally got my fish. No I am sorry, or anything. Get to the car and the the bag is leaking all over my leg open the bag and the lid isn't even on the container so now my fish is spilled out in the paper bag. I get mistakes happen but when somebody pays almost $45 at your business, has to drive back there to get the rest of the food you would think you would show some sort of customer service skills and at least try to make sure it's packaged right. I will not be back, I will go to the Valley Location from now on.
A very long line but worth the wait.. Good food.. Good service from the young ladies at the window.. Always very polite and so nice. Vegetarian options: Okra was definitely good and the onion rings are the best. Parking: They have a good size parking lot you have plenty of room to park. Kid-friendliness: Food for all ages. Wheelchair accessibility: Yeah you can get right in the door.
Always very clean restaurant. Hot fresh food and courteous employees. So, why only 3 stars? Remember the "Where's the beef" advertisement? The fish in my First Mate sandwich was extremely thin, mostly breading and bread. Disappointed.
We went through the drive-thru. So I can't comment on the atmosphere, but I never ate here before. A friend of mine mother loves the fried oysters. So we stopped in, and I tried a piece of fish. It was hot and deliciousFood: 5/5
A little deceitful. I ordered a combo that said it was $10.79. Added a cole slaw for 2.49. Total bill $18.81??? I asked and 10.79 wasn't the combo. They added two spoonfuls of Cole slaw and fries to bring the price up. Not a place I would recommend. Oh and the food was mediocre at best.Food: 3/5
Great food. When I was there on 3/24/24, the young man that took my or wasn't friendly in any way, kinda assembly line interaction. But Justin the owner puts out good fish.Food: 5/5
