Story

Our new 7,500 square foot location in Bedford has allowed us to become New Hampshire’s premier bridal salon. Brides travel from all over New England to experience a relaxing, spacious, upscale environment while choosing from the region’s largest selection of designer gowns.Since 1955 Modern Bride and Formal Shop has been a full service, family-owned and operated bridal shop offering a range of pricing that meets every bride’s budget. Our philosophy is that brides should be able to find designer bridal gowns without designer prices.We believe that a bridal shop should be more than just about the selections. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and personalized service. Our staff is highly trained in product knowledge, fashion and customer service to ensure that you will be part of an extraordinary experience.

These ladies are AMAZING! I found my dress right away and within budget!  Marin was WONDERFUL! I went in twice before buying and she was so happy to help, and I didn't feel like I was wasting her time :)
I even stopped in just to try on the floor model of my dress with one of my bridesmaids and they were so accommodating!  I LOVE Modern Bride and would recommend them to any bride!

Ashley P. is the best in the world. She helped me find a beautiful dress and veil to match my dress. She is always smiling and so accommodating! She made my shopping experience stress less and fun. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Most of all I would recommend asking for Ashley!

The service here was outstanding. I needed a tuxedo shirt on short notice they didn’t have one but did everything they could to make sure I got what I needed. Even made numerous follow up phone calls to ensure it came in on time. Great job thanks.

My dress shopping experience at Modern Bride was incredible! It was day one of dress shopping for me, and I walked away from the store after purchasing the very first dress I tried on! I loved that myself and my "I Do Crew" could walk through the aisles of dress options, pulling out the ones that both I liked, and the ones my crew thought I would look nice in. And our associate, Jackie, was wonderful! She was so helpful in every way, from helping us get started to actually helping me get in and out of the dresses. After hearing my thoughts on a few of the dresses I tried on, she also pulled others to try that our group had missed. And the best part for me, Jackie didn't push me in any specific direction, which was very refreshing! She was just full of advice and positive comments! I couldn't have dreamed up a better experience! I can't wait to come back in for the next steps!

Awesome experience! Marin and Ashley were so sweet and helpful. They didn't pressure or rush me at all and made the process of finding my dream dress so much fun! Thank you!
