The show was great but I left my jacket on my chair to hear the musicians closer, and when I came back, someone took my chair and throw my jacket on the floor. I thought it was a decent bar. Been there several times since the Blues bands are awesome. Having second thoughts to ever go back.

This is an awesome venue to see bands in. I was there the night The Beat played. My only reason for scoring a 3 was that the open air smoking area was right next to the dancefloor and the food area, meaning that about halfway through the show, I could barely see any more as my eyes were watering so badly from the smoke. It really was too much, and I'm an occasional smoker myself. Other than that I had a great night!

Tommy Castro and The Painkillers were as always one of the best live bands you will ever see. Every time I've had the pleasure of seeing these guys they put on a show that leaves you smiling, singing and wishing they could play for another 3 hours. Yep, they played for 3 hours. Moe's Alley is a great place to see any band. It's small and give's you the feeling of having a party at home with a live band set up in your living room. The patio offers you a place to get some fresh air and still be able to enjoy the show. The only thing that Moe's could do better is add more bartenders or open one on the patio. The lines to get a drink at least 15 minutes long and the 3 girls behind the bar just couldn't keep up during the only break the band took. Now I just need to work out how to get the time and money for the Blues Cruise coming up in a couple of weeks. Lol.

I cannot comment on Glenda Bennett's comments about Moe's Alley, as I was not there for the things that happened that she described in her review. My experience has been very different. I play with Broken English, a local (Santa Cruz) band that has existed for 26 years of which I have been a member for a total of about 22 years. My experience has been that this club is a great place to play and I've always been treated wonderfully by the staff and management. In particular, they have one of the best sound persons that I have ever worked with. Yes, most of the promotion is left up to the bands, but that is no surprise these days - most places have that policy locally. On top of that, the club has a great spectrum of bands that play many different styles. So, I say five stars.

Amazazing little establishment. Saw a concert there. Enjoyed the backyard area to give my ears and back a break. I would definitely come back for another concert.
