This was a delightful detour to have a little taste of Taiwan. The staff here were friendly and helpful. The food is good. The smell and taste was authentic enough. Ate every last delicious bite. Nothing wasted. There were many of there excellent choices. I’ll have to visit again.
Wow! Taking that first bite flew me thousands of miles to Taiwan. The food was pretty authentic and very satisfied. The only thing was they didn’t have to go containers if you have leftovers, so I didn’t order as much as I wanted. Would have ordered various different taiwanese food if provided a box. Nevertheless, great taste and service was friendly.
The fried pork chop was very thin, but taste good, the braised pork rice and the side dishes with the pig ear and cabbage was also good. But the biggest disappointment was the beef noodle soup. It is flavorless with over-cooked noodles that tastes horrible. It is truly over hyped. Not only was the food taste plain, but also the attitude of the waitress was also upsetting. We asked her to put some salt and hot sauce to the soup to make the base taste better, she questioned us with a terrible attitude "Everyone else is eating this why do you ask for more"? It was one of the worst experience I've ever had dining in after COVID. What's worse is the dining environment, there's more than 2 cockroaches running around, and the waitresses pretended they didn't see it and just let it go.
I ordered the beef noodle spicy level 3 with wontons and was happy with the flavor. This place is truly authentic, similar to the other southeast Asian restaurants that it shares a plaza with. The interior space and service are also great. It falls just shy of being exceptional but is well worth visiting for Taiwanese cuisine.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
Luckily we don’t have to wait for long time. It’s nice the worker are try their best to give you the best experience. Not good: It should be really authentic Taiwanese restaurant I guess, But the popcorn chicken are not what I expected, not great tbh. Braised tofu are not good too, don’t order it. Oh god, please don’t order beef noodle soup, they are horrible in all way, noodle are not good, soup are plain, and the meat just so average. And the chilling oil are not good too. How … anyway Average: The drink are okay. At least they do have a lot of options and kinda like what I expected lol. And the Lu-Rou Fan, spiced peanuts are nothing special. Good: pork meatballs soup, bean curd and shredded potatoes are actually good. Shredded potatoes are not what I expected but still good.
The beef tendon noodles broth was good. The tendon is very very soft. The thick noodles were a good combination. The shaved ice with red beans had a goo presentation but red beans could have been more flavorful. Service was good and timely.
Another vegan-friendly spot, this time a Taiwanese restaurant in Bellevue. We ordered the tempeh burger, Lu-Rou Fan braised vegetarian meat rice bowl, noodles with vegetables and sesame paste lunch combo which came with pickled cucumbers and braised tofu. Everything we ordered was delicious and also budget-friendly. We loved the food so much we came back again the week after. This time we also ordered the tiequanying tea latte with oat milk. There is a small upcharge for oat milk, but the tea latte was delicious with the right amount of bitterness from the tea and mild sweetness. Service is prompt and the restaurant is clean. The wait for the food is minimal even though the restaurant was packed during lunch hours on a Sunday. Vegan items are clearly marked, so it's easy to order straightaway. MonGa is now in our rotation of fave restaurants!
If you're looking for real taiwanese food this is the place! Yes, they're understaffed however their food worth it. Maybe it's better to order take out if you have zero patience. I got pig ear and noodles with Lou ro sauce. I wanted the rice but by the time I got there it was already sold out.
4 stars for the friendly staff, but food was ok since I had high expectations from the great review. Both the wonton and beef could be better, as there are plenty of competition out there.
Very, very good! One of our go-to places. For my taste everything but the meatballs is 5-star, but the meatballs are 4-star. Very good, but…but…but…have had a little better. As a result, I switched from overall 4 to 5. I’d probably say 4.5, which is close enough to 5 .
