Visited doctor office and emergency department here. Doctor visit was less than impressive, but was easy to get in. Emergency department will financially "affect" you. Get copies of everything and costs associated. If you ever wonder why the "health care system is broken", it's the people who think your signature on admission form is a blank check. But hey, that new wing won't build itself.

Went in today, in extreme pain from kidney issues and a flare up of a UTI, while check in was quick and I was taken back rather quickly as well, I sat in a room for hours waiting. They finally came in to tell me that they were going to send some medications to the Pharmacy so I could get this cleared up quickly, I leave and go get my medication, to learn that there was an issue. At first, no big deal, I can wait, I decided to go home so I could get some sleep since I had to work again, I go back to get my meds, to learn that they only sent 1 medication,  not even the important antibiotic that I desperately need. I try and call to get that med sent over, to get ZERO answers, guess Monday I will have to drive to my regular Dr.. This was the first time that I have been here, and also the last.

Monroe Clinic is an excellent facility dedicated to helping the sick and hurt not for the intention of making profit. Monroe Clinic was previously sponsored by the Congregation of Sisters of Saint Agnes, and is now sponsored by SSMHealth. They are both exceptional not-for-profit organizations. I have shadowed several of the providers at the Monroe Clinic (as I am studying to become a doctor myself), and I have also been a patient at Monroe Clinic for a wide variety of issues. Something unique about the Monroe Clinic is the patient-centered healthcare. It's very unique and just not heard of in other healthcare facilities. I have shadowed at bigger hospitals around the state as well, and the environment is entirely different. This is very unique to the Monroe Clinic.

The cleanest hospital I've  ever been in. Employees friendly, treat you as a person  not a number.
