Both my children have been born at Meriter and they are TOP.NOTCH. Simply wonderful people working there both in medical staff as well as all vendors in the lobby area. We truly enjoyed our stay, both times.

From March to December my partner has had 10 seizures on 3 different occasions. The last 6 were over a 4 hour period in December of 2016. The care he received in the ER, ICU and regular room was far beyond wonderful. They also took great care of me too! Especially in December when I was so exhausted after he was admitted to ICU. It was about 4:30 am and he finally got a room, I asked for a chair so I could be near, and they did one better, they have actual rooms for family! I was given a room so I could sleep a little and was informed that if he woke up before I was back in, they would come get me. I have never been able to say enough good things for the care he received. Thank you Meriter!

I have never been to Meriter before and I can sadly say that I will never return. I work in the healthcare industry and was having crippling pains when I decided I must seek help and go somewhere where I could see an OB quickly. I was seen by an ER Physician, who had no clue what was happening and was very far from diagnosing my condition. Since it was an OB issue I chose Meriter as I was sure I could see an OB to review my case (I had called my OB who had no opening for over two weeks and I needed emergency help). Instead, I was tested for STDs (been monogamous with my husband) and was told that I should call the residency clinic down the road to be seen by a resident OB and sent on my way. The OB Clinic was not able to get me in that week when I was assured it would be the next couple days by the ER physician. I now can view my claim for $2400! $400 of which is for STD testing, not even remotely was the cause. I see patients all day long and will tell everyone I see not to go to Meriter as you will not receive the help you need and will most likely not see any specialist. And you will get charged for tests that do not apply to you. I can see why Meriter has now had to Merge with UW and why the cost of healthcare is so astronomical in this country.

Recently had a visit to ER and the service was exceptional. Everyone very friendly and experts in their area. I met with 2 Hospitalists and both were exceptional. The ER was very prompt and moved quickly like clockwork. I would highly recommend the ER and this hospital in general.

ER Dr. Karl Nibbelink is the rudest and most unprofessional healthcare professional I have ever met. He didn't care about my medical issue, tried to discharge me early, and then tried to patronize me. Hey arrogant guy, be a doctor not a jerk. I rarely go to the ER but if I did in future it would be UW.
