Great place for a long hike, or a family walk. Run a heavy workout, or ride for days.  Trail side camping and even some restaurants border the trail. There are also a number of scout sponsored Eagle projects to make your Montour Trail much more enjoyable, such as picnic grottos, bike repair stations, and other conservation attractions.

This awesome project turning old railroads into paths is awesome! With plenty of stopping/parking lots along the way its  a great way to walk/run/bike. The website could be a little more clear on where to pick it up, but honestly between driving by it and google maps, its fine. Couple times a year they may have events on it like races, clean ups or activities. All in all, its well kept and great for the locals. I've always felt safe as a woman biking/running along it.

A lot of walkers on their cell phones make no sense to me at all...get away from your electronics and enjoy just being outside!

Fantastic trail for walking and light biking.  A beautiful stream runs right next to the trail and makes for a relaxing experience.
