Featuring original, handmade ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, photography, sculpture, wood and mixed media by members of the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council.
The Morning Glory Gallery, located inside the lobby of the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, in downtown Milwaukee, Wis., is home to the work of more than 50 fine craft artists, all members of the Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council (a statewide, fine crafts organization founded in 1916). The gallery features handsome and original, handmade ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, photography, sculpture wood and mixed media. Consider beautiful handblown glass vases, fine gold jewelry, one-of-a-kind leather handbags or silk scarves, unique garden sculpture, whimsical notecards, collectible dolls, elegant wood jewelry boxes and much more!
Founded in the summer of 2006, the Morning Glory Gallery is a partnership between the Marcus Center and Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council (WDCC). Each summer, and always on the second full weekend of August, WDCC also stages its annual Morning Glory Fine Craft Fair on the outdoor grounds of the Marcus Center. This popular show features the work of more than 135 local, regional and national fine craft artists, and is held from 10-5 on both Saturday and Sunday (admission is free and open to the public.)
The Morning Glory Gallery is your one-stop source for unique, handmade fine crafts by Wisconsin artists. New work arrives weekly. The gallery offers free delivery on larger purchases and can also be opened for a special time by scheduling an appointment.
Work by WDCC members is juried into the gallery twice a year. Stop in soon and treat yourself to a unique piece of handmade fine craft from a Wisconsin artist.
