Let me start by saying, I HATE writing reviews and find myself doing it only if my service was exceptionally awesome, or horrendously terrible...and I'm glad to say in this case, it's the first one!

Buying a home, or securing a loan, is maybe one of the most nerve wracking events ever and Chris just made it easier, and just better.  From our very first conversation I could tell that I liked Chris and wanted to work with him.  He was prompt in getting back to me right from the beginning.  He was personable, and easy to talk with and most importantly, he was extremely knowledgable.  And if he didn't have an answer right away, he used his resources and found that answer for us quickly.  We were never left waiting for Chris to get back to us.  He was fast and efficient in every aspect.

We used a VA loan for our home purchase, which are not super "popular" in the Bay Area.  And although it wasn't something Chris did every day and it wasn't necessarily his expertise, he was great.  When he wasn't sure about something specific to the VA, he would find the answers for us.  We never felt like he was going to miss something.  He is thorough.  He has great attention to detail, and is just on it.  Our loan ended up being so smooth, even though we used the VA and bought a home that was in probate.  We were braced for a much longer process, but we closed in about 30 days - amazing!  And that is due in large part to Chris just being on top of everything.  He was constantly letting us know what he needed from us in terms of information and documentation early on, so it put us in great shape to close quickly.  We got a great rate, and really do not think it could have been beat by anyone else.

I think Chris's best qualities are as so:
1) Extremely prompt and always available, especially by e-mail.  So quick to reply, which is so important when you are buying a home and already stressed out!
2) Sincerity, honesty and just a nice person!  It felt like Chris was really on our side through the whole process and wanted to get us the best rate he possibly could.  We trusted him, and felt comfortable through our whole process.
3) Extremely current and knowledgeable.  Simply said, Chris knows his stuff.

I really can't sat enough great things about Chris and his team.  He's the guy you want on your side when buying a home, or refinancing.  We will certainly use him again if the opportunity arises.

I highly recommend Chris Kamali if you're looking for honest and reliable mortgage broker to help you get the best loan at the best rates available.  I have worked with Chris for many years and he has always done what is best for the client above all else.  When you are dealing with real estate and mortgages, you want to work with someone who will truly care about the process and the outcome and Chris does that.  He communicates often and makes sure everyone is aware of where the process this.  Being on top of things and responsive for a mortgage broker is so crucial especially during a home purchase.  There are always timelines and contingencies that need to be met for a real estate purchase and Chris has done a great job and being ahead of schedule. The service, rates and overall experience is all top notch.  If you are looking for a no pressure, honest mortgage broker for your refinance or real estate purchase, I think Chris Kamali would be a great choice.

Chris helped us get our mortgage and was proactively searching even after we started the paperwork and locked us into a newer, lower interest rate. In addition, he helped us with questions we had during our home buying process and with our agent at the time. He went above and beyond his mortgage broker duties to help us purchase our home and we truly couldn't have survived the process without him. 

He is knowledgeable, professional, sincere, thorough and a go-getter. He gets things done and without prompting as well as takes the time to make sure you are fully taken care of. He has our highest recommendations, you can't go wrong with Chris.

We were in the market for a refinance and had Chris Kamali help us with our new mortgage.  Chris shopped the market for us to see where we could find the best mortgage rates and we were able to get a new loan with a much lower interest rate than what we had.  The best part of the process was that Chris continually kept a look on the rates and when the rates went lower than what we had already locked ours at, he was able to get us down to the new lower rate.  The refinance process was smooth and now we are going to pay off our mortgage much sooner than we had originally planned

Chris is very knowledgable, efficient, budget conscious, and upfront... I had an excellent refi experience with him recently again and look forward to using him for future lending needs!
