I had been seeing Dr. Mortland for several years. I recently moved and switched dentists, and was horrified to find that I had pretty bad gingivitis that had been left unchecked for quite some time, much longer than the amount of time since I had last been to Dr. Mortland. Neither Dr. Mortland nor the hygienists had ever mentioned that I had any problems with my gums when I was in for cleanings. Dr. Mortland and her staff should have noticed that I had a potential problem, but didn't. Avoid at all costs.
