We always enjoy authentic S. Louisiana Seafood there and their soups are excellent.  
The young waitress was cordial and friendly and engaging. We had 8 in our party and after ordering we swapped seats so men and women could better share.  The waitress placed all orders in the appropriate places.  Always consistent.  Thanks!

Morton's is your average southern fried seafood restaurant. The interior is in need of a good cleaning if not an actual remodeling/updating. I found it excessively loud as well as talking with a person two seats over was difficult. 

My wife and I easily split the fried catfish player which was crisp and moist, baked potato (which "comes with bacon, cheese, butter..." but had additional charges on the bill for those condiments), and a house salad (shredded iceberg from a bag). 

We only go there because friends come from out of town and like it. Otherwise, you can do so much better.

Inside is dingy. Food made me very sick unfortunately. Better seafood options close by

I ordered raw oysters only a dozen... they were a bit pricey. I usually order 4 or 5 dozen in Hammond for myself.. Everyone else ordered boiled shrimp which was ok except you had to order potatoes and corn separate wth.. The boiled shrimp was double the price in Hammond without the corn and potatoes.  Someone recommended this place and honestly I'll stick to eating in Hammond when I want oysters. The shrimp was bland no flavor what so ever.. the restaurant was nice visually nice pictures etc.. won't be going back.

Morton's remains the best restaurant on the Northshore!! Best seafood, best bar....Nick in the Kitchen, Kim at the bar...Dawn running the place. What a team!!
