This place has everything a "mothman enthusiast" could want. There are actual newspaper clippings from the original sightings, as well as hand written testimonies from the witnesses. Scattered throughout the museum are numerous "man in black" mannequins, which is great for a quick photo op. On the other side of the museum are props from the movie, which was really cool to see. All in all i would definitely recommend this to any mothman fan.

Fantastic museum. Our host there was very friendly and they had really cool mothman merchandise. There were also handcrafted items for sale but mostly apparel. The museum itself is tiny but full of artifacts. Original newspapers from the time period and TV's telling you the story of the mothman as you look around. It was a self guided tour when I went so you're free to look at what interests you. For movie buffs there are several items from the Mothman prophecies featuring Richard Gere. Also located right across from the historic Lowe hotel. One of a kind museum for a paranormal fan, history lover, or even ufo enthusiast.

If you haven't been, go. If you're far and you need to make a day of it, wait until the Mothman Festival. Held around September 17th. It's like a comic con with cryptids and paranormal touches. We visited the museum in the old building and now in their new location. The new place is really well done, like a big city museum, with lots of nice graphics and exhibits. Great job on the revamp!

It was okay. I expected a little more cheesy fun throughout the town like Roswell had set up but I didn't notice anything. The statue outside was cool. The items displayed in the small museum was interesting.
