Love this place! My surprise visit was super inspiring, as I'm an entrepreneur as well. It was fascinating to see how the influence of the founder's parents and family helped him develop into such a smart businessman. The tour was fun and our tour guide was enthusiastic and friendly. She also really knew her stuff. I highly recommend this tour! Lots of standing but there's an elevator to avoid most of the stairs.

Ask anyone who grew up in Detroit have you been to the Motown Museum and you will get the answer: No. Same with me, 30 years in Detroit and never went. But here's the deal: GO. It's the best one hour $10 you ever spent. A lot of fun and interesting facts you never thought of. And even if you know all the facts and details it's so cool to just be in the actual spot where it all happened.

The history behind Motown records is an amazing story of resilience and family values. Berry Gordy started with an $800 loan from his family Bank, to create Tamara records which then turned into Motown Records. He had to pay the loan back within a year at 6% interest. Something that should be done to this very day. Studio way was spell bounding to know that all the artist who made Motown great actually recorded there. Nothing short of amazing and well worth the trip and the little amount of money it cost to get a amazing guided tour our tour guide Jordan was the best.

The tour was great. It provided a look back at the history of Berry's Gordy's family, Motown, and of the Motown artists that we know and love. Our guide, Jordan was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I would recommend purchasing tickets online prior to showing up at the museum as tours are provided on a first come first served basis for a limited number of people. Please note that photos inside the museum are also not allowed.

Nice one hour guided tour. A great look back at how and where Motown was started and the individuals involved. Love the history of the Gordy family. Enjoyed the tour of the living quarters and Studio A. Tour Guide Jordan kept us entertained and made it interactive.
