It is served by most Amtrak Keystone Service trains. The station is a makeshift bus shelter in a railroad cut. There is no ticket office at this station.Red Rose Transit Authority, based in Lancaster, operates its Route 18 bus through Mount Joy one block (less than 1/10 mile) from the station.Improvements are being made to the station and are planned for completion in 2019. A 25 million-dollar project will raise the platforms to reduce dwell time, have platforms be covered with a canopy to protect passengers from the elements, add elevators in order to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and construct a pedestrian walkway allowing easy access between the platforms. A slope will be stabilized while additional parking spaces will complement an earlier phase where 69 parking spaces were added in 2012.
