Good place for a short hike. There is almost always some people hiking up or down during the day. Nice picnic area at the top. You can drive up during summer time but walking up is the recommended way. In normal walking speed it takes 20 minutes to go up. If you are in good shape then it takes less than 15 minutes. Even if you take your time and leasurely stroll up it will not take more than 30 minutes.

Fun, easy hike up road, but longer. Trail up SW face is about 1/3rd shorter, but steeper in many places, watch your footing, especially going down that way. Would recommend going up the SW face trail, and run or walk down road, or back trails, for safest experience.

Nice quick hike and great views! If you don't feel like hiking you can drive up and park on top the hill (there is a parking fee however). There are nice picnic tables and an observatory on top as well. Great for a nice hike on the weekend.

Amazing views up the top and a great hike. It is a nice hike to do in the morning as you can get some great views. It only took us about 30-45 minutes to get to the top. I will say the path to the top is not always clear. But the view is well worth the effort. Nice seeing area at the top. It also has restrooms. We saw people walking their dogs too so I am assuming it is dog friendly. One word of caution, we were going to drive up but the road is only open in the summer months we were told, so please bear that on mind.

Great place to bring your kids and dog for an easy going climb that does give you a bit of a workout. Can take the road for an easier walk or the trail (my preference) for a bit more difficult climb. Great views at the top of the Holyoke Range, Amherst, Sunderland and Deerfield. Absolutely a must if you've never climbed it before.
