Go somewhere else. Director is dishonest and misleading. It's too bad he doesn't read the reviews and respond to rectify the complaints. Mt Vernon earned 0 stars.

This is where my husband's Father & Mother (my in-laws) are laid to rest! I was very very close to mom (Lil to most). We were best friends, I loved her and when she passed, Mt Vernon's staff and facility took great care of our wishes. The journey was less stressful and we were always treated with dignity! It's a beautiful Memorial Park & Mortuary! God Bless! Kathleen & William McBride-Pospisil

First things first one year ago I lost my husband to a heart attack, two months later my baby brother, and four months ago the most beautiful gift to the world was suddenly taken from us my perfect beautiful great grand daughter..Kalia Màé Rose Neusius at the short age of nine months, perfectly happy, perfectly healthy.Only God knows why?? We chose cremation for my husband of thirty-seven years, as to my brother, my grand daughter and daughter wanted a place to go to talk to her and grieve. They chose the extremely high cost of a funeral and burial, and chose the closest one Mount Vernon Cemetery on Greenback Lane where there was a special place for babies, we got one tucked under a tree that would catch the morning sun..sounds absolutely perfect right well from there it all went down hill. First mistake: Due to her unexplained death she was optopcied so she would need extra things, they suggested a bonet, we chose a pretty headband and flower. We buried her dressed in light pink and white she was our perfect lil angel. When the great grandmother and great great grand mother stood before her laying in the casket gently one touched her little arm the other placed a kiss on her finger tips and ever so gently touched them to hers when suddenly a woman (employee) rushed up to them saying "Oh please don't touch her." Second mistake: Teach your employees adequate, we are well aware of the make up used to cover any blemishes we didn't care ..We were grieving a great loss. And no one should have felt the need to say anything to us at all. Second mistake We barely laid her in the ground and we felt the rush..The chapple was quickly closed and locked so rest rooms were not available any longer. Third mistake When making all of the arrangements she was ordered a headstone which was to arrive with in six weeks..Today she has been gone twelve weeks, and would have turned one year old today still no headstone and every thing that told the world she was loved and buried there was disregarded and thrown out in the trash!! Now I am aware that lawns need to be mowed, and yes we were told a date and with all that has been happening slipped our minds..But to not notify the families by mail, email or postal before destroying the families treasures of all that is left is a travisty..And though I will continue to go talk to our angel I will never recommend Mount Vernon to anyone not even to use them to bury a dog let alone a loved one! I am devastated, disappointed, and heart broken.
