I purchased a Honda pilot from Mountain City Motors over a year ago and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. I have not had any trouble with my vehicle since I drove it off the lot. Not to mention it was priced below retail value! If you are looking for an affordable used vehicle check them out!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOT!  These sales people will lie straight to your face and once papers are signed on vehicle will leave you high and dry.  Recent bought car that transmission went out the very next day.  Worst decision of my life.  AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!.

I am very please to be writing this review. I have now bought two cars from Mountain City Motors -one two years ago for myself and one for my son just today! They let me take it to my mechanic and allowed another mechanic to come onsite and check it out with no problem. When there was a problem that my mechanic found, none of the guys tried to down play it nor did they make excuses, we just moved on to the next car and they gave me an excellent deal! DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS (sleezeballs) OR THIS DEALERSHIP. 

HAVE THE VEHICLE YOU INTEND ON BUYING THOUROUGHLY INSPECTED BY YOUR OWN MECHANIC,
DO NOT TRUST THEIR MECHANIC OR THE AUTO SHOP THAT THEY RECCOMEND. 

THEY HAVE SOLD MULTIPLE CARS THAT STOP RUNNING WITHIN 24 HOURS. (Including my own.)

THEY WILL DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT BE RUDE, ARROGANT TOOLS.

READ THE MULTIPLE NEGATIVE BAD REVIEWS. 

GO ELSEWHERE.

I had the same experience as Laura Kelly below. I was in a hurry to purchase a new vehicle and found a 2008 Subaru Forester that I liked at Mountain City Motors. My mechanic was unable to check the car over that week, so I trusted that the owners of Mountain City were decent human beings, and knowing that I was in a bind needing reliable transportation to get my kid to school, wouldn't sell me a problem car. 
I test drove the Subaru with the owner and he claimed that there were no problems with the car other than a timing belt needing to be replaced. He said he'd have the oil changed and set up an appointment to have the timing belt changed at a good price for me at Coxe Auto (Coxe Auto even left a nut off of my timing belt). Clearly, these two businesses are in cahoots with one another. Driving the car off the lot to my home, I smelt burning oil. Assuming it was from the oil change earlier that day I ignored it. Dumb move on my part. Finally got it in to my mechanic and the whole underside of the motor is COVERED in oil, caused by a blown head gasket. There's no way that driving it off of the lot blew the head gasket so clearly both Mountain City Motors AND 
 Coxe Auto knew about it. The problem with North Carolina is that there are no lemon laws protecting used car buyers so i'm stuck with a $2500 shop bill and Mountain City Motors is still able to sell used cars to people who don't have the resources to have these cars checked out. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU HAVE A MECHANIC THAT CAN CHECK IT OUT FOR YOU. DO NOT LET THEM TAKE IT TO COXE AUTO TO HAVE IT "CHECKED OUT BY THEIR MECHANIC".  This is a soulless company ran by soulless human beings - out to make a profit at the expense of their trusting customers.
