We pay for the gym because, as homeowners, we don't have a choice. However, we would never consider using it: the staff is extremely rude and the whole atmosphere is just depressing. I think even one star is too much

We are wondering how many Mt. Park residents have noticed the complete deterioration of our open spaces, walkways, parking lots, entrance gardens and parks. One would have to have walked these areas we have mentioned for a number of years as we have to realize the severity of the problems faced by this community. The once beautiful community of Mt. Park looks like an overgrown and abandoned property. If one walks off the beaten path of roads, parking lots etc., one will notice weeds, undergrowth out of control, paths encroached by blackberry vines and dead branches . We have lived here for 23 years and we are appalled and worried. From what we can tell, NO maintenance has been done in months and month. We have heard that a "skeleton" crew has been doing work. Skeleton? Why? Our HOA dues, in part, cover the maintenance of facilities including outdoor assets. We would like to suggest that concerned homeowners do two things: get out and walk the pathways and common areas and go to a board meeting and report your observations to the manager of the HOA and the board members. We plan to. Our home values depend, in part upon the appearance of our community. William and Mary Goss

Facilities and staff are great. My complaint is about the compliance process. I totally understand the need to have residents comply with architectural issues. We do not want to live in a neighborhood where people get to display pink pigs in front yard. However, the process at Mt Park is archaic at best. More importantly , the people involved are less than helpful; rude maybe a better description. My first experience with the HOA was when my contractor built a small garbage can enclosure in my front yard. I was out of the country when it was built and returned to find a less than attractive structure. I immediately asked my contractor to fix it. As I was fixing the issue I received a less than friendly letter from Mr. Mecelino, the HOA enforcement officer. I immediately contacted him, apologized and told him the structure was being removed. His response was to remind me of the potential fine. Last month I had the interior of my house painted. While the painters were there, I contacted him to tell him I was considering painting the garage doors with the same color. He said i couldn't. I told him painters were there already and it was going to be the SAME COLOR. Again, his response was that I would be fined. About three weeks ago I sent in an application for redoing my back deck. I was unable to apply for the approval by email after repeated attempts. So I delivered the application to the office by hand. After the committee met I was not informed of their decision. I called, I emailed, I sent carrier pigeons. The crew is starting in few days. I finally was able to find out that it was approved by calling for the third time. I just don't understand why it has to be this way. Worst compliance process i have ever dealt with.

Staff at the front desk are nice and helpful the pool is high quality and so is is the gym. My problem is with some off people who go there there was a extremely rude and inconsiderate although others are kind and thoughtful but jerks ruin the experience.
