STAY AWAY! TERRIBLE! My husband and I were on a two month trip across the country. We had a reservation at Wagon Wheel (confirmed with Mike, the owner). We were rudely told by Chris, "the manager", that we "needed to get off this site". He told us that they double booked the site and we needed to go. After a full day of driving that is not what you want to hear especially when the "manager" is mean and nasty. He could have handled the situation in a different manner. We talked to Mike and he was very, very nice. He was not on the property when Chris confronted us but said he wished he was because we could have worked it out. I would NEVER, EVER go back here because of Chris. After the way he treated us I would have been afraid to stay there.

This is a neat RV Park. Lots of shade trees and the spaces are large with little yards. It is quiet, not noisy like a lot of other parks.

Ok, I am going to be blunt here. This is a nice park. Mature trees, great onsite manager, good spacing between sites. Quiet park with mostly long term residents. Close to shopping and freeway access. We stayed for about 4 months this summer in 2 different sites (#18 & 21). I gave this site 4 stars for those reasons. Downsides? Park power is not capable of handling the loads during summer months. I have Progressive Energy Management System (best in the RV industry) and it shuts down power to my rig when low voltage on one of the legs is seen. Leg 2 on the power pole showed intermittent drops below 104volts which caused me to lose power in the hottest parts of the day. I was told to move as no one else is complaining or bypass my ems system and risk having damage to my electronics. My equipment was questioned even though my volt meter showed the same issues coming from park transformer when I was unplugged from park power. Owner wouldnt call power company for help. To be honest, I see this as a city wide power issue and not specific to the park, but the response is what I didnt find helpful. i suffered many days without ac because the long term residents suck up all the power. I left my site for a couple of days to visit fam8ly and the owner rented my site out to overnighters while I was gone. Ok, bonus to the park! Got it. but then i had to pay the power overage for the month not knowing how much power they used while i was gone. Finally, had to leave once and told them i would be back and not to rent my site. Now, when we called in late may requesting to reserve a site, verbally, the owner told us sure, 350.00 per month with full hook ups power included and that we had a “reservation” for June 16 2017. His website showed 250.00 with power included. Got it, websites are outdated sometimes. We arrived june 11 in person to confirm we had a site. He said you have to pay now (june 11) even though we werent supposed to be there until the 16th. Otherwise, if someone else showed up we would lose our reservation. Guess what, there are no other real options in mountain home, so we paid up because we HAD to have the site due to work committments on a 13 week nursing contract at the hospital (which we would not have taken if we couldnt find an rv site). We couldnt afford to lose the site. We paid 350.00 plus any electric over 50.00 in usage (basically 300 plus electricity). During the time we were there we witnessed the double booking multiple times, and angry customers yelling at the on site manager/maintenance tech over the issue. In fact, I witnessed the foul mouth on the lady who posted the below review over this issue. Chris was very patient with her! I recommend the owner start backing up the guy he puts in difficult situations by double booking. He does his best to be kind and polite even when being treated very poorly by upset customers. Chris really does make this park nice! Even in the response to the below review, the owner calls it the “customers misunderstanding” when the owner double booked the site! Let me be clear, I like the park, I like the on site manager Chris, and i like the owner. I just dont really trust the owner to manage the reservation system or to help customers when they have problems with park systems. “move out” isnt a good reply in my opinion and being nice to customers on the phone isnt the same as satisfying them. I know this review will upset the owner and I wish it were otherwise. I dont want to burn a bridge with him as I probably would need to come back sometime to visit my kid at boise state. but I guess i should not expect to be welcome after this. If someone needs a nice place in mountain home, i highly recommend this park, just keep the issues in mind when getting a reservation and watch out for power related issues. The maintenance tech/manager will bend over backwards to help but may be limited in his availability by the owner. Self check in works if people are told first come first serve instead of “you have a site reserved” Jim

I stayed here just over 5 months and I tell you this is a great park, reasonable expense to stay, Chris is a great park manager very helpful and kind. Mike the owner is a stand up guy. Very quiet park with some permanent residents. I liked to observe the quail and squirrels. A+

Nice and quiet place, everyone is friendly. I love the trees, and there's facilities on site for laundry and showers.
