Always have a great time! The rooms are GREAT. The machines pay out really good some days and bad on other days. If you can't afford to lose don't play! A Lot of you are commenting on losing money....you are at a casino... what do you think is going to happen! All in all...It's a great place to go to get away and enjoy yourself! DON'T take more than you can lose!

I used to go to the mountain more often but unless I get a free room or something I won't go back. This casino is by far the tightest around the area. They kill me every single time. If you go to the casino you know your chances of losing outweigh the chances of winning. Now I know if I go to the mountain my chances are pretty much zero. Slots, tables, doesn't matter. The dice never roll very long at this place. I would suggest JACK instead.

The Mountaineer is a decent Casino, but they have a long way to go to provide the kind of service and comps that other area casinos provide. They never have enough of the tables open and tend to have empty tables with high minimums. Wouldn't it make sense to have lower minimums and happy players? It is a working class casino with a high roller attitude.

We go here at least yearly. They have fun games, a smoking room, clean hotels, a reasonably good food. This place is great for a weekend getaway and some fun. They have live music all over the building. You gotta stop in at least just once. Youll never want to leave.

Used to go every weekend...But no discount rooms or free play.. haven't won in over a year so it's not fun anymore.. very tight on slots.. . It is very clean and buffet was wonderful.. But I don't get any enjoyment from gambling.
