I had the unfortunate pleasure of sending my mothers soul to rest in early August and Chris, my Funeral home director, was nothing more then amazing throughout the entire process. He took the time to present us with every option we could have gone with and never once made us feel as if we needed to spend outrageous amounts of money to make our vision happen. The day of the ceremony Chris and his staff were with us every step of the way, from setting up the rooms with items of our loved ones, greeting all of the guests along with speaking on behalf of the family, really making us feel “welcome”. I could not have chosen a better place to say our last goodbyes. I can’t thank Chris enough and his entire staff for making this process as smoothly as we could have asked.
If you are reading this review, there is a high likelihood that it is because you have lost a loved one and are trying to figure out next steps. If you are in this situation, I am so sorry for your loss, and would absolutely recommend Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home to care for you and your loved one. I found myself in this situation twice this past year, and the staff at Mountcastle took my and my family's hand and lead us every step of the way. In a time where it's hard to make decisions, let alone function, it was nice to have caring and responsive staff to guide us through the process. Although the building may look small from the outside, it fit hundreds of us as we gathered to celebrate the life of my brother. I 100% recommend this Mountcastle location and am very grateful for Mitzi, Jeremy, Shirley, and all of the staff who helped me in my times of need.
Mountcastle Funeral Home did an exceptional job with my loved one. From the first encounter with Mitzi I knew we had selected the right place. Mitzi took time out to learn about our loved one and prepared an outstanding visitation and service. Mitzi called us one evening to learn all about our loved one and performed a spectacular service. The power point presentation, decorations, flowers and service were perfect. They were well prepared and everything went off perfectly. Both of the gentlemen that assisted her were respectful, and responsive to every need. I had family members and friends tell me this was the best funeral home experience they have ever had. There is nothing I would change to the way they run their business. Outstanding professional work from every staff member I encountered. There was not a single moment I felt uncared for while working with them. Jeremy, has been the best person of all. Answered every question, phone call, email, etc. I cannot find enough words to thank him for how well he managed our loved ones passing. Mitsi as well, whenever Jeremy was out of the office. From the first meeting to the last, phenomenal work. Finding a place that takes great care of you while you are at your worst is such a relieve. Every single detail. Amazing. The flower arrangements, the viewing itself, the church arrival, the personalized message on the casket, the small details, the signing book, the picture slide show, the pamphlets, the memory cards, the thank you cards. Everything was perfect for our final goodbye. Thank you so very much Mountcastle & staff. Emma, Sandra & Morales Family.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would! First let me start off by saying we did not proceed with them. We ended up choosing another funeral home and I’m so happy we did. This is the most difficult time in my families life , loosing my father unexpectedly and mountcastle made the experience just that much worst. So we walk in and the first thing out of the greeters mouth was “did somebody die” YES I’m dead serious. No hello , how can I help , none of that. We then proceeded to tell them our situation in which she grabbed a contract and wanted us to sign right off the bat. “Hello we are not 100 percent sure we are going with you”. The last straw was her tasteless comment off “if money is an issue they do cremations online for cheap” this had had to be the most distasteful, unprofessional, inconsiderate funeral home we visited. I’m shocked they had a 5 star reputation. From what we experienced, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. No thank you!
Facilities were completely renovated and very comforting. The staff is very caring, compassionate, and professional. Being a family owned firm, they truly inspire to make the most difficult time in a families life a little easier.
This place has come a long way. It use to look as sad as the funerals held there but now it's all updated. As sad as it is to lose a loved one life should be celebrated and this funeral home is a beautiful place to do just that.
I found the staff to be caring and compassionate. The facilities were beautiful. I felt that I was treated like part of the family. I would offer 10 stars if available!
Mitzi was a godsend. Extremely helpful in a difficult time. Extremely professional customer service. I would highly recommend Mountcastle Funeral Home.
The staff was great and I did not have to have two funeral home to do.my wife's service in Woodbridge and in whitetop they did really great job thanks again
