Changed my review from 5 stars to 1 after new ownership change. This place has become a dump. The screens are filthy, hallway carpets have a ton of grime built up, and they actually numbered their theatres with poster board, marker, and glitter. I was a huge fan of movie tavern and super bummed when it closed. When the theatre reopened as movies 11, I was psyched to go back. It's nowhere near the same experience A note about some of the recent 5 star reviews... you can spot many of the fake ones. They're done by people living in India. The only other reviews they left were for the other theater owned by the same people as movies 11. Sketchy.

My family met my sister and her family here on Christmas for a movie and Chinese food after. I was very excited as it had been awhile since we had moved down to Columbus in the last year and not had a chance to go see a movie with the kids yet. Ferdinand was great, but the theater was not. I believe the theater had recently changed hands, but it seemed like the new owners hadn't bothered to make any changes/upgrades with old name still visible in places. Needless to say I was disappointed when the floor had wrappers, popcorn, and trash strewn about by 1pm. I realize it is the holidays, but I would still think that just sweeping up wouldn't fall to the wayside. My two kids were thirsty so we had ordered them a drink to share ($5 for a small) which took them over 20 minutes to bring to us. If there was an issue for some reason, no big deal, at least let us know why it is taking so long or offer to change drink order. I'll let my sister decide if she wants to meet back there next holiday season.

Their receipt says “we love regulars”. My wife and I use to be regulars at the Movie Tavern, we recently came in last Friday to see Star Wars and were very disappointed. The whole beer stein situation does not benefit the customer, if you’re going to force your customers to stop using one thing and purchase another there should be a benefit to it. It was cheaper for us to purchase a new glass and get a free beer rather than turn our steins in. In the theater the cloth was torn and hung over the screen, the server alert buttons didn’t work, the lights on the table to see your food didn’t work. The menu went from around 6 pages of good things to a front and back set of “Okay” items. My wife received her food after 20min, then 30min after her receiving her food I still did not have my food. I had to leave the movie and ask for my food. When I finally received my food the sides I asked for were not with it. After all this my bill was brought to me without an apology and I paid it in full. The over all experience was unpleasant. If they expect to have return customers the key is to look out for the customer, not cut all cost corners to benefit yourself. This was such a bad experience I thought I should pass it along...

This place is nice, the staff was friendly, the only reason I'm knocking it down a star is because of appearance. I haven't been here since Movie Tavern closed and was a little skeptical of coming back. But really, it wasnt that bad. Earlier in the week I bought a ticket and arrived, only to find out that the pipes in the theater I was supposed to be in had burst (keep in mind it was around -5° for the week...even my car died on because it was so cold, so I give them absolutely no blame for that) They gave me a free movie voucher for the inconvenience. I called the weekend after, making sure that movie would be ok to see, the man on the phone was very friendly and assured me that it was fine. He helped the person at the window when I showed him the voucher. Again, very nice. My waiter was also very friendly, and my food arrived surprisingly fast. The food was tasty, I just wish there were more options on the menu...the only other downside is that the inside feels a little run down. There are no movie titles displayed at the doors for whatever theater you're supposed to go to, just big cut out signs with glittery numbers. There are also no titles of movies being played outside for when you get there. Other than that I had a pretty decent time. I will most likely be back :) Hopefully with time there will be a some updates and the place will start looking amazing!

Perhaps one of the worst theaters ever in. No one around to help. Literally when we walked in we had to search for someone to turn on theater lights. Theater dirty. Wall paper peeling off walls in spots, chairs sitting in the hallways. None of lit signs outside theaters had the name of movie showing. There were Dirty napkins on ledges, popcorn all over floor. The theater was freezing. We had to keep coats on. The price was cheap, but it should have been. Called to advise and was told the manager didn't show up for work, and they were short staffed. But I think I was possibly speaking to an owner or someone in authority because then he tried to offer a free ticket....No thanks!!!
