The Zablocki Branch of the Milwaukee Public Library.

Story

Zablocki Library, located at 3501 W. Oklahoma Avenue, opened August 12, 1963 as the Oklahoma Avenue Library. In April 1984, it was renamed to honor the late Clement J. Zablocki in response to the community's request. Congressman Zablocki represented the area in the United States House of Representatives for more than three decades from 1948 to 1983. A major remodeling in 1994 added a courtyard entrance and updated the 14,739 square foot building for technology. The site is 54,441 square feet.
In addition to a large popular materials collection and educational resources, Zablocki offers a wide variety of programs including preschool story hours, family events and computers for public use.

It is not as great as it used to be. Now they make you take photos to get a card issued, and if you have a child the parents have to be with them to get a library card. Also, the hours are VERY limited compared to what they used to be. Lastly, I feel libraries are a place where it should automatically be quiet, but it's not really reinforced at this location. The only reason I come here is because they have a laptop charging station and it is a convenient location.

Unique semi circle shaped building. Extensive CD collection. Lots of computers to work on. The children's section looked inviting and good for young readers.

I recommend this place for  studying, researching, or internet browsing, but it's just pandemonium. Although, the librarians become irritated towards the distraction from my friends and myself, all of the librarians are friendly. 
Wait, but the little kids are just really loud, and I suggest that the librarians should extend the time limit from 2hrs to 2hrs45min.

Have been going their for a long time.Very helpful. Very quite and staff help with everything. Nice and clean too.

This is a great small and intimate library with free parking and wifi...With some computers available. Free DVD rentals.....You check them out just like books. The new book selection is sparce and it's usually a little crowded on weekends. Nice librarians....Printing capability.
