GIGANTIC! Delicious! Those are the main takeaways. Tried a new place via delivery. Ordered a Club sandwich sub provolone and potato salad. It’s a feast?! The ingredients are bountiful and so fresh, it’s fragrant. Decent potato salad. This will happen again. Can’t wait to try the meatball sub?!
Sandwich was ok. I had the Italian and the bottom piece of bread was hard and there was just too much bread overall. The other ingredients were fine but not sure I would order again.Food: 3/5
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mr. Pickle Sandwich Shop, and the parking situation. It's like playing a game of hide-and-seek with a parking spot. You have to channel your inner Sherlock Holmes to find a place to park your car, but trust me, it's worth the hunt. Mr. Pickle, the owner, doesn't even like pickles! I mean, what kind of pickle shop doesn't have a pickle-loving owner? I ordered their Dutch bread sandwich with the legendary Baja sauce, and let me just say, it was amaaaazing! They don't skimp on size here. These things are colossal. I mean, you could probably use one as a flotation device in case of a water landing. So, if you're hungry and looking to conquer a mountain of deliciousness, this is your spot. I love the sandwiches and love the name.
Upon entering my presence was not acknowledged. Staff was intentionally looking down preparing sandwiches for online orders. Overhead signs indicating "order here" should be removed. I waited patiently in the middle for someone to look up for 8 minutes. Eventually some noisy guys from the car rental came in and made a quick right nearest entrance/exit and a sandwich maker looked up quickly and proceeded to take all of their orders! Since I had yet to place my order I had to stand in line behind them and wait 10 more minutes to order. I was shocked and disappointed my very basic tuna sandwich marble rye, lettuce, tomato only--no mayo or extra toppings was almost $16 including tax??? When did tuna salad become a luxury item??? Needless to say I will not be returning even though y'all are close to work. Lunch sandwiches used to be affordable P.S. For reference, 3 fresh halibut fish tacos lunch @ Forest Ave in Laguna Beach are less expensive!
Best sandwiches ever! I don't live locally, but whenever I pass through I eat here. I love their Manhattan on marble rye. Sooo good!!
Little hole-in-the-wall place next to The Hat in Lake Forest. A friend told me about it. We were the only ones in the place...but it took about 10 minutes for the 2 guys to make our order of 2 sandwiches because they were trying to complete phone orders I think. This is mostly a take out place...tiny corner suite in a small complex. The guys were friendly and the food was fairly good , but the order processing was a bit slow. Prices were under $10 for most sandwiches...so not bad compared to other places. Anyway...glad I tried it!
Very disappointing sandwich, the tomatoes were disgusting all cores and not even ripe. The lettuce was soggy and old and it just was not good. $80 for two sandwiches two drinks and potato chips- not even worth half that much.Food: 1/5
If ur looking for the most mid sandwich of your life and want to spend 14 bucks for it look no further.Food: 1/5
Great sandwiches love the bread. Dutch crunch bread is the best. I would eat here every dayFood: 5/5
My BFF ordered a pastrami sandwich for me tonight. It was different. I’ve never had cream cheese on a pastrami sandwich, let alone bacon and lettuce. I was expecting a standard pastrami with Swiss and gobs of mustard, and maybe even some sauerkraut. It was different but it was rather tasty. Oh it also had some pepperocini, which was perfect. Additionally, they were freshly baked cookies in the bag. That was a very nice touch and yummy.
