An informative and engaging centre for adults and kids. Really worth a visit before continuing on to one of the Mt St Helens lookouts. There are films to watch and lots of interactive displays. Educational stuff includes learning how to grow and how forests are actively managed. Some easy, short woodland trails to do as well.

Beautiful views of Mount Saint Helen's and the path the lava and mud flows took down the mountain.

Very informative. Our guests from Denmark were very impressed. Too smoky to see Mt St Helens, but we enjoyed the displays.

Awesome customer service!  Something happened to a jar of ash I ordered for my dad -- whether it was lost in the mail or stolen off the porch, I don't know. When I called the store afterwards, another order was sent out, and Mary gave me a tracking number and ordered a required signature upon receipt. The new package had the large jar as originally ordered, and a surprise small jar and two additional post cards! It was very kind!

It was closed the main part, when we came, but it was really warm day, nice weather and May month! So,  they should open it max. quickly for public( but the view is good..
