Muscatine is home to the original Maid-Rite. Started by Fred Angell in 1926, this famous loose meat sandwich has become a legend! "Too good to be a patty" isn't just a slogan...it's our way of life. Steamed ground beef, with our top secret seasoning...it doesn't get any better. Don't forget to try one of our old fashioned, hand dipped malts or shakes. While the original location was torn down years ago, our new location will be sure to please with the vintage juke boxes and all your favorite music from the 50s and 60s.
