Story

Dr. Doug Olson was born and raised in Idaho. He began his healthcare career as a ICU nurse before attending the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry, where he graduated in 2005. Dr. Olson has been married to his wife and best friend, Dawn, for 20 years. They have 4 children whom Dr. Olson considers his best accomplishments. They spend their free time skiing, biking, hiking and enjoy all of the activities Colorado has to offer.
Since 2005 Dr. Olson has worked and lived in Colorado Springs and is invested in the well being of his patients and the community. He loves having happy, satisfied patients and from this, has come his patient care philosophy…… “Giving my patients the best and most complete case treatment and patient care that I can possibly provide.”

I was very disappointed with the staff at My Dental Company.  After reading the reviews, I thought it was a good choice. However, with the experience that I had there, I now am looking elsewhere.The office smells very strongly of mildew and I was concerned of the cleanliness from the get-go. However, my husband seemed to think they were OK, so I figured I would try them out anyways. After I set up a few appointments, I got a call from one of the receptionists. She told me that the appointment I had specifically made for 7am was now moved to noon. I told her that I couldn't do that time and she straight up told me "you don't have a choice,  it is being moved". Very unprofessional in my opinion. She could have at least asked me if another day would be better, instead it sounded very forceful and unapologetic. When I did go in for my appointment to get a "cleaning", it was not the cleaning that I was expecting, asked for and that my insurance covers. Instead it was literally 15 minutes of them polishing my teeth above my gum line. Not even close to being worth the $70 they sneakily charged me. I shouldn't have gone back, but I had another appointment for a tooth that chipped, it was purely cosmetic and I wanted it fixed more than anything else, so I went back hoping for the best. I thought that Dr. Olsen would do the work himself, but instead it was a tech named John. He did a horrible job on my tooth. The filling was way too long, jagged and sharp. He didn't do the carbon paper bite test, I had to ASK him to do it. After trying several times, it was still interfering with my bite, but I was getting frustrated so I just left. Then I got home and saw that my gums were disturbingly white and brown right where they were working, and super painful. I had never seen anything like it, and I have had a lot of dental work done. I went back the next day to get the filling fixed. The tech did not even remember me or the tooth he worked on- from a day ago! The doctor fixed the main issue for me. It is unfortunate that he couldn't do the work himself the first time around. To say the least, I was very dissatisfied with my experience there. And now the tooth they worked on is extremely sensitive to cold. It wasn't like that before the worked on it. I'll have to get another dentist go in and fix whatever they did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND My Dental Company. I hope Dr. Olsen picks his staff choices for future patients more carefully.

I have been coming to My dental company for two years. I bring my four children and myself. I have had a tooth extraction and bone replacement so far. (I still have a bit more to go) my children get their teeth cleaned here every 6 months! The office is VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF IS SUPER FRIENDLY!!! (They even have a massage chair you can sit in while your children's teeth get cleaned!) The environment is WONDERFUL & for someone who has anxiety about coming to a Dentist office, this place is WONDERFUL!!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!

"The staff was amazing and the procedure went very smoothly and I love iTopIt" - from the words of a 14 year old boy.  I can concur that the efforts of the team to make the dental visits more comfortable are very notable.  Dr. Olson and his team are great with kids and adults.  The office atmosphere is great.  The technology is impressive and less invasive than back in my day.  The waiting area has water trickling from the ceiling which begins to relax  you going into the dental visit.  Nice touch.  Lastly, the cookies in the waiting area also get my son excited to go knowing there is a treat available for him after the visit.

I love my dental company   I had a major fear of going to the dentist  when I came here all my fears started dissipating Dr Olson and his staff made all my fears go away and now I have a BEAUTIFUL SMILE AGAIN  THANK YOU SO MUCH MY DENTAL COMPANY.  Ms Pam thank you so much for bearing with me . You made me feels so comfortable.  Dr Olson  you are on Amazing Dr ..Thank yall so much .

This is the most professional dental office I have ever stepped foot into. All of the staff was friendly and treated me as if I had been a patient there for years. For my first appointment, I had to have 5 of my teeth worked on and I opted for conscious sedation so they could all be completed in one appointment. I have a horrible fear of the dentist so it was great that when I left I didn’t remember the appointment at all and was able to walk out of the office that day. (Of course, I didn’t drive myself home.) Dr. Olson is an incredible dentist who has surrounded himself with only the best staff. Pam assisted Dr. Olson for my appointment and they did a great job working together and making sure I was comfortable the whole time. My wife sat in on the whole procedure, so she was able to observe the way they work and had nothing but good things to say about them. I feel like the picture below is worth more than my review. It shows how well he runs his practice. Dr. Olson runs his practice like an operating room with everything sterile and clean (notice the blue covers on everything). I would highly recommend Dr. Olson to anyone, especially if you have a fear of going to the dentist.
