I saw this place. I tried this place. I was surprised by the underseasoning. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered a deluxe platter with chicken Tikka Masala and the cashier was going to charge me for an extra vegetable. I was more than happy to pay for the extra if they served me one but they comped it. Naan was good and the potato based side I ate was just lovely. The chicken was regretfully dry and shockingly blend for indian cuisine. I was so taken aback that I double checked that I ordered the right thing the day afterward. I was excited for the food and left kinda disappointed. The food is fine, but fell short of what Indian food offers. Yes I know tikka masala was made in the UK.
Chicken tikka masala and naan were really good. We skipped the expensive price for adding vegetable that looked bland and boring. Service was quick.Food: 5/5
Surprisingly the only place serving Indian-Pakistani cuisine at the Reading Terminal. Minutes away, within walking distance from Philadelphia City Hall, Nanee's Kitchen serves a handful of meal sized chicken based dishes, Indian beverages see Rose lassi in picture and tasty snacks veg and chicken puffs in picture. It isn't anything amazing but whatever you order, it'll make you feel content. They can certainly improve on make the food more authentic but I won't blame them for customizing it for their local American audience. Slightly pricey for the quantity they offer, but definitely a place to check out if you're at the Reading Terminal. If you're going here just to eat Indian, maybe reconsider, there's plenty of better Indian restaurants in the area to choose from.
We came to the market while traveling for work and thought this place looked good so we gave it a try. I'll start by saying that we both love Indian food. The food looked good and smelled good, but unfortunately we were pretty disappointed. We got the chicken korma with a side of naan they were out of garlic naan. My biggest issue was that it didn't have any flavor. The chicken was kind of dry and the sauce was missing the rich, spicy flavor you would expect from Indian food. There were so many other great things at the market that we ended up not eating most of it because it just wasn't very good. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing or maybe it was an off batch, but I probably wouldn't come back.
OK. I didn't expect much from Indian food at Reading Terminal Market. This was a pleasant surprise. The coconut chicken curry was satisfying and tasty. That's all I ate, so I can't vouch for anything else, but it did all look good. Nice stuff, Nanee's Kitchen.
Absolutely Bad Pakistani food. Stay away from this dirty bad taste a ugly smelly food trays . This kind of dirtiness Reading Terminal should not allow dirty people with really bad customer service in this market place. Save your money . Should be Zero Star not even 1 star. Vegetarian options: People of this food stand need to go back to country they came from or go back to school to learn how to be clean and Americanized . Zero Star all the way around.
GF ordered chicken tikka masala and naan. She is indian and knows the food; nan was chewy and tikka masala is ok.
I had a really good time here. The tikka misala was delicious and very flavorful. The rice was also delicious.Recommended dishesChicken Tikka Masala
Tikka massala was good, rice was blocky for being too long in the same shape, spinach were spicy and liquid. Naan was soft. However, quick service!Food: 2/5
