This is a fee and money hungry bank that is masquerading as a helpful credit union. You will not have a good experience with this scam of an operation.

First, the credit union has frequent IT problems which spontaneously causes payment (ACHs, EFTs, checks and debits) to overdraft and/or be returned. This can be a really terrible nightmare if you're paying rent or a mortgage!

I had the privilege of being with NASA after opening my account at the Wallops flight facility. It was so-so at first; nothing spectacular. Fast forward a year and a half later, and I was ready to close the account due to terrible service, horrendous hold times and just maddening policies that made absolutely no sense.

This credit union will oftentimes post debits before credits. They operate in the grey area to maximize overdraft and bank fees whenever and wherever.

If you're able, go with USAA or Navy. NASAFCU is a scam and a half.
