Do not consign with this auction house. My 73 year old Vietnam Disabled Veteran father that suffers from Multiple Sclerosis and I spent almost $900 in shipping costs to send his book collection to auction to help pay medical expenses for my 75 year old chronically ill mother who is in the hospital due to complications from Lupus. The CEO knew why we were selling our collection and happily, and eagerly, accepted it. He sold our items in auctions in late October and on November 4th. The auction put valuable books; signed, first editions, without labeling them, in large lots of 20-40 nondescript, less valuable books. The contract we signed stated we’d receive payment in full along with an itemized statement 30 days after our items sold. At first we were given the runaround, the CEO emailed us an email that gave us the runaround. Weeks ago, we were told the CEO would call us back. Now, the auction doesn’t even answer the phones. They continue to have auctions but refuse to return emails, phone messages, or pay their consigners. We posted a complaint on the BBB website where we found THREE pages of complaints just like ours, we did the same with Yelp. Please do your research and protect yourself.

Great auction place to buy and sell antiquarian and rare books. The lots are nicely detailed and condition well described. The photos of the lots are great help. The shipping is done within a timely fashion and the books are well packed and protected.
