I have had Nationwide insurance for about 10 years. Service and product seemed pretty average until the past 2 years. 5 years ago I had a fender bender where I rolled into another car at a red light. My first accident ever in my life and I am 45! AND no visible damage. I hoped for accident forgiveness but my insurance went up a little. I have NO other tickets or issues. I expected the payments do drop back down after a time but they did not. Instead, rates have increased every year and my insurance has gone up twice in 2017. The first increase was $8 a month and this summer went up another $19 a month! I have never had a problem getting in touch with an agent but when I called to talk to someone about these increases it seems I was pushed aside. No one returned my call with answers and when I called back there were no notes on my account about the concerns I had. When I decided to cancel my policy I was left on hold for 20 minutes and had to hang up and call back. Finally did cancel my policy and found the same coverage somewhere else for much less a month.

I can never get a hold of the woman in charge of my account, and my monthly payments have increased twice in the last year without my knowledge nor my consent. My rates, as a driver with no accidents in the last 10 years and one ticket (with completed defensive driving) in the last 10 years, have gone from $120 to $140, to now $155. These people do not inform you of changes to your account; they just charge you without explanation. I've had continuous problems accessing my account online, and (again) have been having trouble getting on contact with my representative, so I'm unable to even cancel my policy in lieu of a less expensive one with a company of higher integrity.
