The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you would need. If it's missing anything, the front desk is always happy to help out. We've stayed at the Gateway Inn through multiple PCS moves and visits to Jax and never have had any complaints. It's a great price, too!

The facility is clean and the staff exceptionally helpful. Located on the St. James River. We've enjoyed easy proximity to downtown Jacksonville, Amelia Island and St. Augustine.

Great room, spacious, quiet and comfortable. Beautiful view of the St. John's especially early morning. I wish they had silverware, dust broom, towel and cups in the cupboard of the kitchen. Would be great.

Got stuck in old part of hotel. There was no elevator. Poop in stairs. Instead of cleaning stairs they put caution tape up. Paint was chipping off walls. Bathroom fixtures falling apart. Kept killing ants in room. Had to request light bulbs be changed. No light switch when you enter so you have to walk in the dark to find lamps. Bathroom threshold disgusting. Hair dryer broken.

Staff is very helpful and courteous. Building 844 is newly refurbished and very comfortable; Building 845 (where registration is located) is older and needs refurbishing. Amenities are good regardless, rooms are clean and well furnished.
