Have been coming here 6-8 times a year for the past 3 years. There is a new General Manager and I truly miss the hospitality of the former one, Patricia. The customer service has gone down hill at the front desk. Staff seems annoyed to service customers. My family and I showed an hour early for check in and were told the room would be ready at 1500. They finally let us in at 1530 and the room was dirty, beds unmade, dirty linens on the couch, dirty bathroom with opened soaps strewn across the sink. They then told us it would be another hour. No apologies, just a snide attitude, shoulder shrug and "It'll be cleaned in an hour...or so." Very disappointed in the treatment. We are actively serving with more than 20 years each. We also stayed here a week prior and when I went to the front desk to get extra towels and blankets, they gave me a hard time and said they weren't supposed to give out more and wouldn't give us extra blankets even though I told them the set provided for the pull out wasn't enough for my kids and they were chilly. Seriously?! Where is the hospitality? If a guest is uncomfortable and wants a towel for their hair and body or an extra blanket, give it to them! We are paying customers! Please bring back Patty, or at least a GM with her level of professionalism and hospitality. She and the staff treated everyone like family and ensured their comfort. It is now 1800 and walking through the hall, there are cleaning carts out and rooms in disarray. It is well past check-in time and this place is still trying to get it together. What has happened to this Lodge? Obviously a management problem. To Management, I appreciate the immediate response and the offer of towels and blankets today. I truly hope these issues are rectified as we are frequent guests of the Lodge and truly (usually) love our stays and the staff here.

We came down and decided to stay in Navy Lodging in hopes we would get a cleaner, more professional, and safer environment. While watching tv a rat, not a mouse, popped its head out. I immediately called the front desk where the clerk laughed even after explaining we had a baby with us. She explained there were no other rooms available and that she would have to call us back to figure out how to handle the situation. Almost thirty minutes later she called back but we had already gone downstairs. She stated we could either check out and be refunded or they could send management up in the morning. The clerk stated she had no idea about any rat infestation however we found a rat trap under the ac unit. By this time it was late and we had a long day of driving back home. We ended up staying and not getting very much sleep.

When I'm in town, I enjoy staying here. Rooms are decent for the price. I always feel safe on this base and at this lodge.

Nice staff. Room was ok. Has to get the shower head replaced since half of it didn't work. They did replace it quite quickly. I also stepped on a piece of glass when we first arrived. Overall not great but not the worst

Can't beat beachfront property and free breakfast! The friendly professional staff, suites, and hammocks by the BBQ grills are all bonuses!
