Food wasn’t fresh at all. I ordered it around 4:30, it said 20-30 minutes delivery and came exactly at 4:40 pm today Saturday August 4. I’m highly disappointed, I specifically asked for fresh shrimp and broccoli for my order. The shrimp aren’t fresh at all and the broccoli is way too hard. I will NOT be ordering from Here again. The first time I ordered everything was fresh and now today it’s absolutely repulsive the type of service I received.
Honey, I would give this place -10 but the meter doesn’t allow it. I walked into this place around 1pm and thought I’d try their lunch menu. I read they charge 12.95 for Chicken wings and rice. The lady at the desk had a nasty attitude but I kept it moving and chalked it up to it being annoyance. She ignored me when I asked direct questions about the menu and then proceeded to ask whether I wanted chicken, beef or shrimp fried rice with my wings. I opted for the chicken fried rice and she quoted me 17.89 for the final tally. Um, no ma’am. $4.89 cents for chicken? You guys must be kidding me! I walked right down the street to "subway” where I can have it fresh, cheap and my way. Don’t waste your time with this place. Horrible customer service and horrid prices.
First time trying this restaurant. All the food is so delicious. They perfectly customized the deliciousness we wanted for me! I will go back! I highly recommend you give it a try!
One of the best dishes I've had. Incredible! The atmosphere and service are great! Satisfy our needs, had a great meal and will be back next time.
Food very tasty, not over cooked and they fill the to go box to the Max, my dishes they put lots of very fresh and large cashew nut , chicken is tender. I also asked for a tradition real Chinese dish Shrimp with Scribble egg with spring onion which is NOT on the menu! But they cooked for us and didn’t spare on the egg nor Shrimp , large quantity of food and charged $16.75 which the same dish I ordered from A Chinese restaurant Red Peony at 56 street that charged me $30 with half the portion and barely has any Shrimp in the uptown restaurant. Chicken with Cashew nut with a box of rice is $14.75 and Spinach with sauté in garlic is $12.45. All worth the price since portion are huge and fresh. Plus New Moon gave us 3 huge box of very soft and good rices not the cheap dry hard rice. Will definitely order again. Amazing !
Once Noodles on 28 closed we looked elsewhere for a good Chinese restaurant in Murray Hill and chose New Moon. Up until tonight it has been adequate but tonight was a total failure. Egg rolls were tough and cold and the fried dumpling dough so thick that you couldn’t’t discern if there was any filling. But the sesame chicken was the topper. So old and either recooked or overcooked the chicken made shoe leather seem appetizing. The vile broccoli was olive green. Absolutely revolting. We had to throw it out. UPDATE After extending a credit for the sesame chicken we decided to try New Moon one last time. The difference was like night and day. The chicken was cooked perfectly, although the scallion pancakes were not as expected…deep fried and greasy. Based upon this second experience we may order from New Moon again. SECOND UPDATE That’s it. Done. Ordered tonight for the last time. Ordered hot and sour soup and received egg drop soup instead. Sesame chicken was overdone with vile soggy broccoli. Stay away from this place.
I tried to take my parents and brother here for a quick bite before going to the movies. I wasn't even able to make it through the door. After I asked the lady if they offer dine in services she was very rude and told me we would have to order first before being seated. It's the winter time, and never in my 7 years in the service industry have I ever heard of having to order food before being seated. 10/10 don't recommend just based off this experience. I haven't tried the food but if you're looking for good service or just basic respect don't come here lol.
I always come to this place . Its amazing. Always great customer service. Food is not rushed. Place is kept very clean. Servers are very nice. Thisbiabmy go to spot when Inwant to feel good or if Im upset. Both will getbthe job done.
best authentic and cheap nyc chinese food. great portions prices taste. the lunch special is filling and great size.
Barely edible. Ordered beef in Oyster sauce, got chewy beef in almost completely tasteless gravy, not a single vegetable any company for the sad beef swimming in that watery sauce. Without doubt the worst ‘Chinese’ food I’ve ever encountered. Oh, and it was really expensive to boot. Please, go literally anywhere else.
