They could definitely be friendlier.  I definitely like the Cedar Hills location better.  Whole Foods, in my experience, is a friendlier store with better customer service.  One thing New Seasons does very well, is bake delicious bread.  The organic wholesome Seven Grain is truly delicious and nutritious.  But, they need to improve customer service to be called, "The Friendliest Store in Town".  That is a BIG claim to live up to . . . . and calls for super friendly/courteous service, which I have not always encountered, especially at this location.

Near my home and convenient.. the staff are always helpful and pleasant.. though the staff are always busy, when asked to assist in finding an item or answering a question they are happy to assist.
The store is well stocked and fulfills my needs for wholesome and nutrient rich foods and supplements. Prices are on the upper end of the scale which sometimes affects my choice to shop there.

This is a fairly small food market, but it is filled to the brim with fresh foods and friendly employees. They have a good selection of gluten free foods. They are very busy on Wednesday because it is senior discount day. They have a nice selection of plants and cut flowers with a florest available to make flower arrangements. There is also a seating area where you can sit and eat items from their deli.

When I first moved to this area I tried shopping here and suffered major sticker shock. I love everything but the prices though, which are still better than Whole Foods, and remember telling my soon to be wife that the main reason I would like to make my money was so I could be comfortable shopping here for casual groceries. I must say that it's extremely affordable to eat their hot and cold deli food and we get lunch or dinner here frequently. In fact it's probably the cheapest way to feel fancy for dinner, except we always accidentally walk out with $50-100 in groceries after dinner.

This New Seasons makes the other stores look bad. I wait forever at this store the employees that I have encountered have been unpleasant. I spent 20 minutes waiting for the wok and the person working it walked away, then when she got back I heard her say well she wanted it well done. It was burnt. I just cannot think of a good reason to come back to this location.
