If you want your child to know what it feels like to earn something, be in pain, and grow stronger, send them here. If not, send them elsewhere where they are given black belts for nothing. 5 stars. Great environment to thrive and learn how to actually defend yourself.

My son and I have been going to New Wave for over two years now. He started when he was 4 years old. We thought a martial arts class would help him to learn self control and respect. New Wave has exceeded our expectations in the way they work with both younger and older children. They also do a wonderful job working with adults. Their school is not just for children. I was so impressed by watching the classes, I signed up for a self defense class for myself. Going to New Wave is like visiting family. They are flexible and work with people from all walks of life. They really do care about every student and their FAMILY. Master Rick, Master Sheila, Master Shawn, Master Sabrina, and Master Bobby are all outstanding instructors. Highly recommend NWMA!

Highly recommended this school to anyone who want their children to learn how to defend themselves, respect and confidence. All the Masters work well with all the kids and take extra care for any kids with special needs. They don't make any kid feel different. Both my children feel welcomed and loved here. As a student myself I am amazed to see the dedication that goes into the school.

The Instructor Master Rick called my son "a child with no control" and he would not help my son in any of the moves...My son is 6 and was so excited to practice Martial Arts until Master Rick Judo Chopped his dreams. He is so hurt! :(... Taking my child back to Master Rick's class is as appealing as playing leap frog with unicorns! If you love your children you will go else where!

A very fun friendly environment. My son has been attending New Wave for over 4 years now. The Masters are extremely knowledgeable and make every class a great learning experience.
