Story

Newport Avenue Market is an employee owned company located on the Westside of beautiful Bend, Oregon. We offer an eclectic selection of unique, specialty and hard-to-find groceries as well as every day market essentials. Consider us the “Triple G” for all of your shopping needs: Groceries + Gadgets + Gifts.

Family-operated and locally owned since 1976 (becoming Newport Avenue Market in 1992), we provide a distinctive shopping experience for our community. You define who we are and because of that, we champion a healthy diet along with a healthy sense of humor.

It’s all about good food.

We are leading a food movement in Central Oregon that promotes farm-to-table and healthy, natural, delicious food. In fact, we’re all about keeping it local- think locally raised beef (where each and every cut can be traced back to the ranch where it was raised), veggies grown just down the road using aquaponics, and award-winning artisan cheeses.

Our global selection from various ethnicities and niches makes experimenting with food fun. Need Lion’s Mane mushrooms? Or Blood Orange Reserve olive oil? Let your foodie imagination run wild down any of our aisles. Coffee-flavored salt? Got it. Sombrerino pasta from Italy in the shape of a Mexican hat? We’ve got you covered.

In 2013, Newport Avenue Market was named the first Boar's Head Market of Distinction west of the Mississippi. Cool, right? It’s a rare title… not easily earned… and it means, quite simply, that our deli is the best of the best. It’s because our crew takes food seriously. They get up early, stay late and sometimes steal grandma’s recipes to create the best experience for our customers. Your discerning taste buds will delight in our selection of grab-and-go lunches, gourmet dinner entrees, side dishes and desserts.

What about beer?

We’ve got a wicked-good selection of beers and ciders not easily found in one spot. Would you expect anything less from Beer Town, USA? Our Great Wall of Beer (all 60' feet of it) is stocked with 500+ brews including local faves, trusty go-to's, domestics, and international brews.
