One of the best BBQ places I've tried since moving to Cali from Georgia! It seemed like a lot of other people think so, too. The restaurant had customers coming in as quickly as others were leaving. With that being said; the space was a bit tight, especially with all the health concerns right now. I had to wait about 5 minutes before I was greeted and able to pick up my order; which I thought was an issue with the overall pace, lack of organization, or training of the employees combined with the overwhelming number of customers. BUT, the BBQ is great and totally worth a few extra minutes. Recommend!
My family has been coming here for a number of years and I was finally able to make it this year during the sand sport super show. This place does not disappoint. I got a full rack of ribs and the meat literally fell off the bone the wings as well. Staff was super nice and friendly My Man Jason was amazing everything about my experience here was 10 outta 5 xant wait to make my way here again.
This place was like going back in time, in a good way! The portions are huge and the sides and cornbread that it comes with are sooo good! I had the gluten free corn bread muffins and my husband had the regular but he said the gf was better. The sane with the gluten free French fries! So crispy! I got the 3/4 rack of ribs and they were so meaty and perfectly crispy on the outside. The server was super cool and on top of everything. We will be back for sure! Whenever I have a craving for BBQ, I come to Rib Co. The selection of meats is fantastic, and the barbecue sauce is the best!!!! Great atmosphere, the service is always good, and the staff is friendly too. The service was very good. But the food was just OK. The beef ribs have very little meat, the sides are not bad, the steak as ok. But it was also not very expensive. I went in expecting the bill to be more.
Waist of $100. The tri tip tasted like something cooked in the crockpot and tasted to what I imagine dog food to taste like. The corn bread was so dry it was hard to eat. The tri tip sandwich my husband got had no sauce or anything on it dry meat and bread. I do not understand how this place has good reviews unless it's just because of ribs.
Big football crowd at the bar watching Packers and Bears. Servers and waitress were friendly and attentive. Nice to talk to. Started off with pretty good cornbread but a tiny bit on the dry side. I liked the soft butter. I ordered the trip tip, Mac n cheese and baked beans. Meat was very tender and buttery. I like lots of BBQ sauce so I had to request it. The wife ordered the rib medley with potato salad and coleslaw. She found the beef ribs tough and filling. She brought the other ribs home and we split Ty hem the next night. The baby back ribs and st Louis were yummy. We will be back Again.
Went there for dinner with my new beau i had the half rack baby back ribs these were so good i ordered the roasted vegies and mashed sweet potatos with a root beer to drink it also came with a mini ear of corn and a fresh pineapple slice server constantly checked on this after dinner they bring you a hot wet washcloth to frehen up with i recommend this restaurant to everyone i cant wait to go back there it was my 1st visit
Fantastic food but sub par service. Went in for orange county restaurant week and one of the first things the server said was that she dreaded restaurant week. She was gone for long periods at a time and usually forgot to come back with whatever she went for in the first place. It was a frustrating experience as a diner. Our table had to share steak knives because there apparently weren't enough and some of our food came in cardboard cups. And some things that were supposed to be hot were cold and others that were supposed to be cold came warm. Bizarre and awkward.
We visited the Newport Rib Company again! We really enjoyed our meals. We were served by Sean, the Bar Manager; he did a great job. I especially liked the Bloody Mary the best I have ever had other than at home. Great meal, baby back ribs were delicious and the barbeque sauce is phenomenal. The servings were generous so we had some to take home with us. I thought the service was even better than the food and drinks. I really enjoy good service so all in all we had a very good time..
