The Newtown Township Police Department consists of 28 sworn police officers and 4 civilian personnel. NTPD is an accredited law enforcement agency that provides police services to Newtown Township and Wrightstown Township.

Newtown Township Police Mission Statement

The mission of the Newtown Township Police Department is to safeguard persons and property through a committed community partnership by upholding public trust, fostering mutual respect and providing services to enhance the quality of life.

The department establishes the following values as essential to the organization and the community:
