The corporate culture of Nexion is something I have not seen ever. I was a Nexion agent over 6 months. Technically, they provide what every other host agency does, but they have one thing which is unique: they could not care less when a problem arises. The SNAP desk is their issuing desk. You pay a fee of every booking so you have them as support for questions or problems. After booking 15+ reservations for flights (and still learning their system) I call the desk and the person - Gabriel - answers in the worst manner I have seen in a long time. I think "ah, maybe he is having a bad day, lets avoid this problem" so I asked for the usual lady that helps hoping to get the same good service as she always gives. He refused - "you have to deal with ME". I then sent and email to customer service to let them know he was quite rude on the phone and I was afraid to call in case he picked up the phone! He (Gabriel) proceeds to CALL ME ON MY CELL PHONE to tell me "I am calling to know why you sent that email?". At that point, I am so appalled I sent another email to the same customer service email they provide explaining this situation, which in my eyes is unacceptable. I have never in my life had an employee from a service provider call me to ask why I said something bad about him! (but then again very few times do I need to complain about service in general). His boss, Paul calls to tell me "did I get what I wanted in the end?". I think "oh dear" the fish stinks from the head. Then I send a last email explaining this is just wrong, and to please instruct me on how to cancel my account after my last client travels in May. Within a few minutes their Vice President - Robbi Hamida (his mediocrity and lack of professionalism now starts to better explain why Gabriel believes he can do what he does) sends an email saying they believe I should find another agency and they went ahead and deactivated my account WITHOUT WARNING, without giving me the time to wrap up my clients. All I got was a list of names. They deactivated this as if I was a thief, because I raised a complain about bad service? Wow. I am not angry, I am impressed at the fact that a company can act this way nowadays.. Save your $99 "promotional" affiliation fee (no wonder that is all it costs to join them, I should have known - cheap is what you get). As a piece of advice, you cannot provide good service to your clients if the person who is helping you give that service has no idea of what professional is. Adding to this is a legal risk: I contractually have deliveries for my clients I am now unable to access because this person was so upset at someone raising an issue about their bad service. He arbitrarily deactivated my account leaving without access to my clients information without even picking up the phone to ask me what happened. I did not know I signed a contract with a company that believes they can with no cause cut ties leaving you and your clients stranded. I will need legal help to understand what happens now that I have quoted and charged airfares for my clients I will not be able to access for no other reason than having asked them not to have their employee call me on my cell phone to confront me over saying he was providing unhelpful service! This is not a professional company. It is circus.

In the years since becoming Travel Agents we have had a few different hosts. Since joining Nexion in April 2016 we have been so VERY PLEASED. From the initial contact with Karlen Okamura to the most recent boot camp we have learned so much and received top notch support from every dept., Membership Services, Education, Sales, Information Tech, and Operations. Last month we attended the Boot Camp in Irving Texas and in 3-days we learned more about who, when, why, and how to operate our business and service our clients. Meeting Amy, Lauren, Chris, Robby, 45 fellow Nexion Agents, and several of the preferred suppliers was OUTSTANDING! The hotel where it was held (Sheraton DFW Airport) was a great location, the accommodations, the event support, and food were fantastic. The 45 agents who attend the boot camp have experience ranging from brand new to 53 years. We not only got the value of sharing experiences and learning from each other, but more importantly we form friendships. Using Nexion Town we form a community group to continue to learn, share, and help one another for many years to come. The current capabilities with Nexion including Passport Online website, Mailpound eBrochures, Nexion Town (community groups), Web View (the members main page), invoicing, the preferred suppliers, and most of all the feeling of being a part of the team/family. Jackie Friedman, Nexion President, took time out of her busy schedule and fighting jet lag (returning from Europe the previous night) and answered questions, gave us some helpful tips and explained that Nexion is a TOP SHELF organization. Even with the tools they have today, Nexion is not settling for status quo, but pursuing even better tools. At their annual conference in Sept 2016 (CoNexion) the new and improved tools will be unveiled. I’ve been trying to say about the sense of team and family that Nexion offers is unmatched. Our decision to join Nexion was one of the best decisions I have made in operating our travel business. I hope this review is helpful and you take my recommendation to join Nexion and become a part of the team/family.
