We had an absolutely amazing time touring Italy in June thanks to the great work of Michael Rizzo and Omega Tours. We started the process in January with a scratch itinerary not quite knowing exactly what cities to visit and what attractions to see. However, with Michael's expertise we created a 13-day extravaganza which started in Venice and ended in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. The itinerary included the must see sites and allowed plenty of free time for my wife and I to explore on our own. Additionally, Omega provided us with a very useful and user friendly App that had all the day to day details of our trip from hotel locations, meeting points, and other useful information that helped take the anxiety away when traveling abroad. Our drivers and tour guides along the way were on time, personable and knowledgeable. They made us feel very welcomed and ensured we never missed a beat. Special thanks to Marco, Bruno, Sheila, Lume, Rafael, and many others. We can't say enough good things about everyone who helped make this a fantastic trip and we would highly recommend Michael and Omega Tours if you are thinking about exploring Italy.
Incredible tour! This tour option had a few scheduled tours, but also a lot of time for independent exploration on our own. We felt it was a perfect balance. If you are not the kind of person that likes to be shepherded from place to place on a tight schedule, this is a perfect option. The hotels we stayed at were beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We opted to extend our tour by two extra nights, and while we were not able to stay in the same hotel our whole trip due to booking, the transfer process was still very convenient, and we even got a room upgrade at our second hotel. We would definitely travel with omega tours again!
Most memorable experience ever .Michael was service oriented , professional and responded to our requests promptly . The tour operator in Turkey, Neon Tours , were nothing short of 5 stars .The tour guide Zafer Bozoglu was super knowledgeable and very pleasant . The 'Glories of Turkey" tour was jammed packed .Got to see most of the SW part of Turkey .It was pure amazing . My only suggestion is to add a note indicating that there is a lot of walking visiting the incredible sights .Few fell behind towards the end . The highlight of the trip was the hot air balloon ride .
Our Signature Tour of Portugal came off without at hitch. All transfers, tours, and accommodations were above our expectations. The warm April weather was an added bonus. The tour was paced well and it was good to have a day on our own at the end. While we enjoyed visiting the big cities of Porto, Braga, Coimbra, and Lisbon, the highlights for me were our visit to the Douro Valley wine country and our tour of Cascais and Estoril.
Our group of four enjoyed an excellent two week tour of Portugal thanks to Omega Tours and Michael Rizzo. Our itinerary started in Porto in the north and ended in Lisbon with excellent tour guides throughout. Each day was a new adventure visiting historic sites, enjoying the changing scenery, wine tasting, food tours and our hotels.
Sadly we cannot recommend them...primarily due to our tour leader. He was a nice enough young man, but a very poor communicator. Ask anyone in our group and they will tell you that we were in the dark on a daily basis. We had to ask about times to meet, schedule, dinner plans - answers were vague or he would say he would tell us later. The words "don't worry" are not what you want to hear when you are trying to get specific information. Several of the local tour guides were hard to understand - so we ended up touring most places on our own. The hotels were hit or miss. Naples was the absolute worst. It had a beautiful view, but it was very isolated so it was difficult to get a cab to come up the street - even walking was dangerous.
Was pleasantly surprised that there were only 4 people on the Best of Portugal tour. Our guide Cristina was fabulous and was a wealth of information on everything Portugal. A great experience overall and would highly recommend.
Our trip was wonderful. It was hectic but we experienced a good amount of Italy. There was a lot of walking which I didn’t mind. Omega tours responded quickly when contacted.
Easy booking, nothing was a problem, prompt reply to emails. We did the Pearls of Puglia Tour. Fantastic region to explore, tour guide Sabrina was excellent and our other local guides were also great.
We used Omega Tours for a trip to Rome & the Amalfi Coast. Michael Rizzo did an outstanding job and answered all of my never ending questions. Planning and arrangements were easy with lots of suggestions and good advice. The drivers they arranged were on time, friendly and informative. The tours that they arranged were on time and the guides were well versed, our only issue was with one of the guides which isn’t a reflection on Omega. The hotels that were selected were very nice. The communication with Omega was good including when we needed some information while on the trip. I would definitely recommend them.
