Story

Since 1978, Nor-Cal FDC has successfully assisted thousands of small businesses throughout the State of California. Nor-Cal works closely with financial institutions to provide quality guidance in areas of small business managemant and loan packaging.

Nor-Cal FDC was founded in 1978 to assist small businesses in obtaining financing. Nor-Cal FDC is a public benefit corporation chartered and regulated by the Governor’s Office for Business Development (GO-Biz). Working with the California State Loan Guaranty Program, Nor-Cal FDC provides the “guarantee” or collateral to mitigate the risk of financing the loan. The company is committed to and specializes in helping those individuals that do not meet traditional lending guidelines.

Nor-Cal FDC is deeply committed to assisting the State of California with expanding the resources available to new and existing small businesses under the State Loan Guaranty Program.

As of 2011, we are the largest non-SBA guarantor for contractor loans, we have the most active loans, and the most jobs created & retained, the most diversified portfolio, the second most graduates, and the lowest default rate of any FDC in the state of California.
